MPE Download Instructions:
  All programs with .std extension are in STORE/RESTORE format. Download them to your workstation then upload them using a binary file transfer method.

FTP Method:

open your.hpe3000.address
user username
pass password
bin
put c:\subdir\filename.std BEECHSTD;rec=-256,1,f,binary;code=2501
quit

Reflection Terminal Emulator Method:
  • Log on to your hpe3000 in a Reflection session.
  • Open the file transfer dialog box. (File menu, then click Transfer)
  • Enter downloaded file (FILENAME.std) for the local file name and BEECHSTD for the host file name.
  • Select binary mode.
  • Click SETUP, then select the WRQ tab and enter 256
    in the "RECORD SIZE" text box.
  • Click Attributes, then enter 1 for Blocking Factor, 2501 for File Code, Record Type BINARY, and Record Format FIXED.
  • Click OK, then OK again.
  • Click transfer to host (highlighted in GREEN above.)
Minisoft Terminal Emulator Method:
  • Log on to your HPe3000 in a Minisoft window.
  • Enter file equation:
    FILE BEECHSTD;REC=128,1,F,BINARY;CODE=2501
  • File menu, Send File to Host.
  • Select Binary mode
  • Enter Record size 256
  • Enter downloaded file (FILENAME.std) for the local file name and *BEECHSTD for the host file name.
  • Click TRANSFER
Once the file is on your machine it should similar to this:
