This script gathers information from HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS and other locations to produce summary information. It runs several programs on the HP3000 in order to do this. These programs include EDITOR and PSSWINVP.PRED.SYS.The patch selection script creates several work files named PATCHWKx, where "x" is a value between 1 and 9. All work files except the last (patchwk9) are purged from your system upon the completion of the script.

The final analysis occurs on our HP3000 using the patch information available from the HP ftp site:
